There are actually very few reviews of the Hercules DJ Console MK4 DJ Mixer product at all, and none in the one star or two star categories, suggesting that the product must be doing something right. “This little mixer is awesome,” says one user. However, it is agreed by virtually all reviewers that it is mainly for beginners – “If you are doing clubs you should have more advanced gear.” Reviewers are very enthusiastic about the sound card, which is said to be “fantastic” considering the size and price of the unit. In fact one or two comment that it is the audio that really makes this unit the good value for money that it is, particularly the second set of RCA outputs, plus the second set of RCA inputs.
The other big plus point is its portability, which makes it ideal for DJs on the move – including its sturdy construction, its compact size and the fact that it uses software as its source for music and effects. Users also like the easy controls, the smoothness of the faders, and the fact that it has all the connection points required for linking it up to amplifiers for more sound, and for turntables and CD and MP3 players.
